Become a Member

Membership to Eastern Bloc is designed to offer services, benefits, and discounts to artists, individuals and organizations interested in using the equipment, services, and facilities at Eastern Bloc, for the purpose of producing and/or exhibiting art. We offer also professionalization services and workshops to our member artists.

1. Community Member:

• Any person whose interest it is to support the organization can become a Community Member of Eastern Bloc.
• Yearly membership fee for community members is $40.

2. Regular Member:

• Any professional artist, independent producer, cultural worker or other arts professional can become a Regular Member of Eastern Bloc.
• Yearly membership fee for regular members is $40.

3. Student Member:

• Any person studying full-time in an arts or arts-related program can become a Student Member of Eastern Bloc.
• Yearly membership fee for student members is $30.

4. Organization Member:

• Any organization registered as a non-profit organization can become an Organization Member of Eastern Bloc.
• Yearly membership fee for organization members is $75.

5. Annual Lab Member:

• Any professional artist involved in research, creation, or production in digital arts can become an Annual Lab Member. Annual lab membership offers artists access to the lab space and its tools and equipment for a period of 12 months.
• Annual lab membership fees are $300 for a professional artist or $250 for a student artist.

6. Quarterly Lab Member:

• Any professional artist involved in research, creation, or production in digital arts can become a Quarterly Lab Member. Quarterly lab membership offers artists access to the lab space and its tools and equipment for a period of 3 months.
• Quarterly lab membership fees are $120 for a professional artist or $100 for a student artist.

7. Monthly Lab Member:

• Any professional artist involved in research, creation, or production in digital arts can become a Monthly Lab Member. Monthly lab membership offers artists access to the lab space and its tools and equipment for a period of 1 month.
• Monthly lab membership fees are $65 for a professional artist or $55 for a student artist.

All members share the following rights and benefits:

• Access to monthly newsletter, yearly programming brochure and regular email updates and press releases for services and activities offered only to members.
• The right to speak at annual general meetings and any other meetings open to members. Regular Members also have the right to vote at annual general meetings and any other meetings open to members.
• 10% discount (15% discount for Student Members) on rental of studios for production time and exhibition space, as well as on rental of technical/audiovisual equipment and technical assistance fees.
